High School Tuition and Transportation per Student

The Yarnell Elementary School District Governing Board has held several public study sessions to discuss options for high school attendance choice. Mr. Tim Carter, Yavapai County School Superintendent; Kellie Burns, District Executive Officer; and Renee Raskin, Deputy Chief, Yavapai County Education Services; have been present for the sessions to work on options for YESD. The school board is responsible for the fiscal management of funds and has reviewed tuition costs.

Previously, our eighth graders had a choice between Prescott High School and Wickenburg High School. On November 8, 2018, The YESD Board met limiting that choice to one high school: Prescott High School. For more information regarding this decision, please see the above link, High School Tuition and Transportation per Student.

By only having one home high school district (which is typical of most rural schools), YESD can help keep local tax-rates down.
