2020-2021 Supply List is under the Information and Notices link.

All districts in Arizona and most across the country, have been working to outline every possible way to reopen schools safely. On June 29, 2020, Governor Ducey issued an Executive Order delaying the start of in-person instruction in school facilities until August 17, 2020. Schools can offer distance learning during this time, based on their regular academic calendars. YESD will be discussing a reopening and distance learning plan at the board meeting on July 9th.  Learning opportunities, along with safety concerns for staff and students, is our main priority.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided free to all students 18.  The breakfast and lunch program has been extended through June 26, 2020.  Deliveries will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays each week via the local bus route.  If you child does not ride the bus, parents may pick up the meals on campus in the parent pick up lane at 11:15 AM.

The Yarnell Elementary School District Governing Board has held several public study sessions to discuss options for high school attendance choice.  Mr. Tim Carter, Yavapai County School Superintendent; Kellie Burns, District Executive Officer; and Renee Raskin, Deputy Chief, Yavapai County Education Services; have been present for the sessions to work on options for YESD.  The school board is responsible for the fiscal management of funds and has reviewed tuition costs.

Previously, our eighth graders had a choice between Prescott High School and Wickenburg High School.  On November 8, 2018, The YESD Board met limiting that choice to one high school: Prescott High School.  For more information regarding this decision, please see the above link, High School Tuition and Transportation per Student.

By only having one home high school district (which is typical of most rural schools), YESD can help keep local tax-rates down.
